New Regime is a new band that has brought together some of the area's finest talent, co-led by Rob Lindquist on keyboards and Eric Walentowicz on tenor/soprano saxophones. Their distinctive sound, which consists of mostly original compositions and some covers, is a cross-mix of straight-ahead jazz, European ECM-style, Latin, danceable funk, hiphop, and world-music influences. From the retro soundscapes of Rob's keyboard to the lyrical lines of Eric's saxes, the listener is drawn in instantly by their hip melodic compositions and the groups fiery and emotional jazz explorations. |
