Nouveau Chill

More likely to be found in an upscale lounge in Paris, a Jazz club in Montreal, or a café in Barcelona, Tess' Lark Tavern in Albany, N.Y. is bringing a new and exciting music series to the Capital District.

"Nouveau Chill" is an intelligent mix of Jazz, Trip-Hop, Funk, Bossa Nova, and Reggae stylings, mixed by local musician and DJ Michael Campion. Campion will be collaborating with saxophonist Brian Patneaude, keyboardist Nick Lue and percussionist Jimmy Fontanez. Every aspect of the evenings will be improvised from set list and song order to solos and departures from the underlying music from such artists as Thievery Corporation, Zero 7, Martin Medeski & Wood, Bebel Gilberto, Wax Poetic, Mos Def, Jazzanova, St. Germain and more.
