(607) 376 1313

Rob Hunt, classically trained in piano and trumpet at an early age studied formally at Ithaca College and Berklee School of Music. The combination of trumpet and piano led Rob through a series of jazz, rhythm and blues, funk, rock, orchestral, band, choral, theater and big band venues all of which contributed to a vast resource of musical knowledge and experience.

Rob toured the United States and Canada as musical director for Lee Andrews and the Hearts, playing large and small concert halls. Original music, written for a small theater production by Lanny Harrison and Steve Clorfeine, brought Rob to Berlin, Germany 1989.

Rob settled in Oneonta, New York to raise a family and has remained active in all types of musical projects. Writing, teaching, and arranging have replaced extensive traveling. Rob’s arrangements and orchestrations have been used by Barbara Brussell and Cookie Coogan. They have been performed by the Catskill Symphony, Schenectady Symphony, and Hartwick College Jazz Ensemble. Rob performs regularly at the Otesaga Hotel, Cooperstown, NY

Rob has recently relocated to Albany, NY
