237 Union St. Upcoming jazz performances: Friday 3/12 - Chris Dollard-Phil Barrett Trio (7pm) Phil Barrett and the Chris Dollard Trio bring Jazz Standards to the Van Dyck, with an emphasis on songs made famous by Sinatra, Bennett and many others. The group's members perform throughout New York State with other well-known bands and talented individuals. Together they perform at private engagements and venues throughout the Capital Region. Thursday 3/18 - Colleen Pratt and Friends (7pm) The product of a musical family, Colleen is the daughter of musicians Helen and Norman Pratt and the niece of well-known jazz man Bobby Pratt. Colleen performs with several area bands along with her own group, Colleen Pratt and Friends, a dynamic four-piece band comprised of Jazz pianist John Nazarenko, bassist Tom Crudo, bassist-guitarist-vocalist Bobbie Van Detta, drummer Bob Halek and saxophonist Cliff Lyons. Saturday 3/20 - Jill Hughes (8pm) Her repertoire is vast and eclectic, leaping across a wide range of musical genres. Whether she serves up a towering love ballad, a funky get-down, a tender jazz standard or a stone-cold blues, Hughes makes nary a misstep. She simply pours her heart into the songs, bringing passion and power to each one.
