Upcoming jazz performances:

First Tuesday of every month - Keith Pray's Big Soul Ensemble (8pm)
The Big Soul Ensemble is a lot of band with a lot of soul. Comprised of 17 of the Capital Region's finest musicians, the ensemble is a traditional jazz big band with a twist. Instead of looking to the past for their repertoire, the Big Soul Ensemble pays homage to the past while playing material specifically written or arranged for the band by its own members.

Thursday 2/16 - Colleen Pratt & Friends (7pm)

Saturday 3/3 - Randy Brecker w/s/g Ada Rovatti (7:00 & 9:30pm)
Randy Brecker has been shaping the sound of Jazz, R&B and Rock for
more than four decades. His trumpet and flugelhorn performances have
graced hundreds of albums by a wide range of artists from James
Taylor, Bruce Springsteen and Parliament-Funkadelic to Frank Sinatra,
Steely Dan, David Sanborn, Jaco Pastorius, Horace Silver and Frank
Zappa, not to mention the genre-defining Jazz-Rock unit with his late
brother Michael, the Brecker Brothers. Joining Randy will be drummer David Calarco, bassist John Menegon, guitarist Matt Finck and special guest, Italian-born saxophonist Ada Rovatti.

Friday 3/16 - Jason Marsalis Vibes Band (7:00 & 9:30pm)
Jason Marsalis, the youngest brother of Wynton, Branford, and Delfeayo, has been leading his vibes quartet for three years now, not only performing his new compositions, but also using the group to help expose audiences to classic pieces and music by new composers that he finds sorely underperformed. Members of the quartet are Will Goble (bass), Austin Johnson (piano) and David Potter (drums).

Saturday 3/24 - Allan Holdsworth Band (7:00 & 9:30pm)
Allan Holdsworth is one of the 20th century's most prominent
guitarists. He is one of a handful of musicians who has consistently
proven himself as an innovator in between and within the worlds of
rock and jazz music. Despite the uncompromising nature of Holdsworth's
predominantly genre-defying solo projects, he's no stranger to
all-star jazz festival line-ups or large venue rock audiences. He will be joined by bassist Jimmy Haslip (Yellowjackets) and drummer Virgil Donati (Planet X).
